Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in California

i am an auto mechanic.a customer phoned me to tow and perform a diagnostic for an agreed price on his broken down car.he agreed to call the following day for an estimate of repair costs.he never called and when i called his contact number it was disconnected.that was over a week ago.i would like now to place a lien on the vehicle so i can sell it to cover the pending costs.(the repair cost is far greater than the cars value)ive never done this before which led me to"find legal forms.com" as a simple solution to do this on line for a small fee but im unsure if this is all i need...California Mechanic's Lien (aka Supplier's Lien)

A filing that allows contractors, mechanics, laborers, etc. to place against property that they have improved for use in California.can you advise me as that being what i need?
