Automatic Subscription Renewals
If a customer is not 100% clear on if they are paying for a subscription one time or being set up on an automatic payment plan over the phone, is the business breaking the law?

That's an impossible question to asnwer. If you're not 100% clear on the term of your subscription, ask. If you're not satisfied with the answer, cancel.
