B of A is taking me to court and is threating to garnish may wages. Can they still collect a debt after 4 years?

Yes, as long as it is not over four years from the exact date of the last transaction.

Actually, and this very fine point of law has come up in one of my cases, it's four years from the date BofA first had the right to sue, which was one day after your last payment due date. If they have really waited over four years to sue, I am very interested in your case and I would be pleased to handle your case for a very modest fee. Please contact me. Make sure you respond to the lawsuit within 30 days after you receive it, and that an attorney answers the lawsuit (do not do it yourself).
