bail money

If bail is set at 2000.$ and a payment plan is set up with a bailbondsman and half is paid before the court date. at court, the charges are dropped and bail is exonerated. Am I still liable for the remaining 1000.$

Yes, you are. You agreed to pay the bail bondsman the $2,000. You cannot get out of that contract just because charges are dropped. That is not the bail bondsman's fault.
