Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in California

Bankruptcy/ Collections

I am not sure if I need to file for bankruptcy but I have been contacted be a lawyer who is acting a debt collector for a credit card company. They served me with post-judgment papers declaring that I must give them information as to my bank accounts, finances, assets, etc. I am extremely worried that there may be some kind of bench warrant issued and I would like to resolve this issue to the best of my abilities. I really don't know what to do at this point and need some guidance.

Re: Bankruptcy/ Collections

Did you ever receive the lawsuit? If you have a defense, such as the debt is too old, you can have the case reopened if done correctly.

Bankruptcy is an option if your debts are large, see a BK attorney before speaking again to their lawyer.
