Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in California

bill collector

My girlfriend received a call from a bill collector stating he had information from the local DA's office. Her receiptionist paniced and called her boss. Then her boss called her to tell her to take care of it. Since she has called the DA's office and they have nothing filed under her name. What if anything can be done?

Free Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA) lawsuit. Have her (not you) call me or some other lawyer who handles these types of cases, watch out for legal time limits.
