Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in California

Hi I let someone borrow about $10,000 about a year ago and since then has not payed anythng back to me. i have a notarized letter that says that he would pay me back in 6 months...what can i do in this case?

You can take him to court. You can go to small claims court for up to $7500, which is less than he owes, but you wouldn't need a lawyer. Watch out for legal time limits.
