Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in California

Car Dealer wants me to return a vehicle that they are unable to secure financing

On Septmeber 3, 1999, I purchased a new car from a local dealer. They were unable to secure a lender and are asking me to return the car. It has been over one month since the purchase. I have sold my old car, so if I should have to return this car I will be left without a vechicle. My question is do they have a right to take the car from me? If so, how much time do I have before I have to return it and are they in any way liable for misleading me. Please respond as soon as possible. Thank You.

Re: Car Dealer wants me to return a vehicle

Their rights are defined by the sales contract you signed. You need to read the contract and see if they have the right to cancel the sale under these conditions.
