Car Loan

I owe a car loan that is on my credit report. They went to court and filed a judgement. Can they garnish my wages? and what is the procedure?

Re: Car Loan

Yes. They would have the sheriff send paperwork to your employer. The employer would then give you notice and you would have a short period to seek exemptionis.

They might also levy against bank accounts in your name.

You might want to (or better yet, have an attorney) call the creditor's attorney and try to work out a payment plan or a lump sum payment at a discount.
