Does a car repair shop have the right to sell my vehicle for work that has not been paid for? What can be done?

.Yes, they can do what is called a lien sale. They have to send you notice with the DMV form. You can fill it out and dispute the sale by sending it immediately to the DMV whose address is on the back of the form. That will stop the sale. Then they will have to sue you to get the car and/or money from you.
