Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in California
car repo.....
in nov of 2005 we had a car repo, we got calls from the debt collector but he stopped, we thought it went away but now we got a letter saying we are being sewed. we no longer live in the state (arizona) where we had the repo and the letter states they are going to be transffering the judgment to cali. (where we live now) ... what can we do? are we going to end up paying anyways? they are saying they can garnish our wages.... i need some advice.

Re: car repo.....
You probably need to talk to an attorney in Arizona to defend you. If they get a judgment against you, they can have the judgment "domesticated" in California and attempt to collect against you here.
