Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in California

Case Management Conference

I have a Case Management Conference coming up on Jan. 16th, 08 regarding debt collection. I'm the one being sued. What do I need to do to prepare for this conference? It will be held in Contra Costa County in California.

Re: Case Management Conference

You should have filed a case management statement with the court 15 days prior to the case management conference. Complete one and get it to the court on Monday, if possible.

You should bring your calendar to help determine when you'll be available for mediation/arbitration, and trial. Also, you should let the judge know when you'll be ready to try the case, i.e. when you think all documents will be exchanged, all depositions will be taken, etc.

Good luck!
