recieved a bill for my fathers creamation which was 6yrs. ago thought bill was paid via a prepaid certificate when does statue of limitations run out we have never in the 6yrs. recieved a bill.

There is normally a 4 years statute of limitations. You may have a case against the collection agency if such a service was hired by the creditor, under the Fair Debt Collection Act. We would need to review your documentation. Please call us if you have any questions.

The statute of limitation on a written agreement is four years from when the payment was due. If on an oral agreement, two years. Sounds like the funeral home/crematorium might be out of luck.
