Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in California

civil lawsuit

My brother is currently incarcerated and awaiting trial. He has been served with a lawsuit (unrelated to his current circumstances) concerning money owed to a friend. Can he somehow postpone a trial until he gets out and is able to gather information that would defend his position? As of this moment, he can't help himself.

His attorney may be able to get a continuanceif his relaease date is t to far off. Other than that perhaps he may be able to set aside a default judgment. When is his release date? Contact me directly.
