I have a civil trial tomorrow. I have no representation but would like to hire counsel; is there a motion, pleading, or other way to get a entension, or continuance?

Not when you've waited this long. All you can do is ask in person, if the judge will even listen to you at this point.

The proper procedure is a motion for a continuance, made to the trial judge. You would have to make the motion tomorrow morning, if you cannot make it ex parte.

As Mr. McCormick suggested, it is extremely unlikely that the judge will grant this motion. This is particularly true if the other side will oppose it. You need to be prepared to go to trial tomorrow.
