how to clean my credit and increase my fico score

i would like to know if there is any way to clean my credit report of doragatory items. what is the quickest way and or best way if there is any way to clear up your credit . what are my options in this matter. thank you very much.

I am sure there are several self-help sites on the Internet, books, etc.

If there is any incorrect information on your credit report, by all means dispute it in writing to all three credit reporting agencies.
