Clearing Judgement

Hello,

I have discovered that a judgement shows on my credit report because of an eviction in 1996. I contacted the county court house to inquire information. The judgement reads,'Restitution of Premises'. What does that mean and how would one go about removing this from credit report. The court clerk did not see a monetary amout due. My credit report does not show it to me. How does a potential landlord see this information? Thank you kindly.

Well, I don't know about removing from the credit report, but I can tell you what to turn means in the judgment. It's legal language that basically means you did not surrender the rental unit when you're supposed to and the landlord obtained a court order giving him possession of the property. Sometimes these types of judgments including monetary amount, and sometimes they do not.
