This is just general information. No representations are made and no attorney client relationship is established by this communication. In most matters there are strict time limitations within which actions may be taken or your rights will be compromised. We are not taking any action on your matter and will not be considered your attorney or tax representative until both you and we have signed a fee agreement.
We, therefore will take no action on your behalf unless a written retainer agreement is signed. There are strict deadlines, called statutes of limitation, within which claims or lawsuits must be filed. Therefore, if you do not retain SELIKLAW, you should immediately seek the services of another attorney or other advisor.
Re: Need to collect
any attorney would need to see the papers you actually have in order to know what may be reasonable in terms of pursuing this judgment on your behalf. it is really a function of how much your judgment is for as to whether you will have any lawyers willing to assist you. the preceding responses are correct, but i am certain that they must evaluate the situation based on the amount at issue.

Re: Need to collect
Enforcing a judgment may be a difficult matter when a person is uninsured. There are some procedures you can take; file an abstract of judgment & set a CREDITOR'S EXIMINATION OF JUDGMENT DEBTOR. Call me directly at (619) 222-3504.
Re: Need to collect
I agree with the preceding answer. In addition, there is a procedure authorized by the Vehicle Code by which the DMV may suspend this person's license for failing to satisfy this judgment (which often has the effect of getting them to write you a check)
