how to collect

3 years ago i loan $3000.00 to a friend issued by check stating loan.

now he don't want to pay. how can i collect this money.

A lawsuit would have to be filed. We would have to review your documentation to see your proof. Our firm handles cases throughout California. The statute of limitations on a debt is generally 4 years for a written contract and 2 years for an oral contract. When did he breach the contract?
