Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in California

Collecting on a small claims case

I was rear-ended about 2 years ago while I was sitting at a redlight. The housewife had no insurance and no income. The husband worked and brought in the income. I took it to court and won the case for $5000, I haven't seen one cent yet. I like to know how to granish the husband wages even though he wasn't involved in the accident and like to know how I can find out if they filed for bankruptcy or not.

Thanks in advance

Re: Collecting on a small claims case

If the file a bankruptcy you will get a notice from the court.

regarding collection, your best bet is to go to www.nolo.com and order their book on collecting judgments.
