Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in California

a collection agency is requesting that i pay a old account off , this credit card was close & charge-off in 2002, they have mention a pay-roll deduction in order to collect the account balance !

It would be foolish to agree to anything. The statute of limitation ran three years ago, and it's uncollectable.
