Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in California

Collection on Interest on a Judgement

An attorney owes me my retainer. We went to arbitration and the attorney now owes me more. These debts are rather old and I feel I have some interest due me. Do I need to file something with the court to request an award of interest? If so what? AND what steps can I take to help get payment of these debts and the interests?

If the arbitration proceeding didn't grant you interest, I wouldn't be worried about interest. Not sure it's worth it to bring it up now if you didn't raise it during the proceeding. But, as it pertains to getting paid, you can report this attorney to ths state bar. He'll have a serious problem if he doesn't pay you.
