Collection practices within the grace period

My home mortgage contract has a 15 day grace period

for monthly payments written into it. I have been slow

pay in the past and I now find that if I am even a day

or so late on a payment, my mortgage holder is already

contacting me by telephone and will call everyday

until the payment is received. How can I get them to

delay collection calls until after the grace period

You cant. get an answering machine and screen your calls.
