what do I need to know about going into confrim abbitration award filing

I am now permentely retired on disability. I have an old credit card debt of 13k the lawyers want to got to superior court for hearing on petition to confirm arbitration award filed.

If the arbitration was filed properly and you lost, the arbitration award will most likely be confirmed. Your best bet would be to contact your local legal aid or county bar and see if they have a program to help you have an attorney review the papers to make sure that it was filed properly. If it was, you may need to consider bankrupcty. A call to a bankruptcy attorney would be appropriate.
