Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in California

contract cancellation

After signing a loan contract for an expensive new recreational vehicle on 6/9/07, we decided to back out of it (cancel) for financial reasons; we were not informed of an Option to back out, dealer says we have a binding contract...no cooling off period law in California. Isn't there a Buyer Protection Law for a buyer to change mind? We communicated our decision verbally and in writing. Thank You.

Re: contract cancellation

Read The Friendly Contract. If no cancellation clause, have fun with your expensive new RV.

Re: contract cancellation

There is no cooling off period on the purchase of motor vehicles in California. There are signs up in every dealership clearly explaining this. You have a contract and an RV now.
