Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in California

I co-signed on a Motorcycle with an ex-boyfriend, back in 01 and have since paid off the loan. I recently went to the DMV to transfer title to the new owner and they said some other finance company shows as owning the bike. I guess my ex took out another loan only in his name and now they are holding the pink. Any advice as to how to go about taking care of this so I can finally get this resolved? Can I do a lien sale?

No you cannot do a lien sale. I would suggest that you hire an attorney and file a quite title action. This will give you the ability to show your right to the bike. Who has possession of the bike - you or your ex? That will be a big issue as well. When was your lien paid off? did you transfer into your name only after the pay off?
