Thanks for your posting. If you have a judgment against you, it can be used to entirely seize your bank accounts to pay off the judgment. Your wages can also be garnished, and under California law, you can have up to 25% of your net pay taken in a garnishment, which will continue until paid.

Because a judgment can be renewed every 10 years, and can have the statutory rate of 10% interest added, and hurts your credit, you should avoid a judgment if at all possible.
