Son was taken to ED. ON the admission form to the ED the insurance co. and Policy # is listed. Ambulance company states they did not have address my sons address to bill him--subsequently he got bill from collection agency--the ambulance co did not attempt to bill the medical insuarnce Co and time limit has expired to do so. I verified with the hospital that the insurance policy # is information freely provided to the ambulance co. My son was covered under our medical policy. The ambualnce co will not take back the account from collection co. Any suggestions--My son now resides with me in WA State.

Have you contacted the insurance commissioner to report this?
His office is in Olympia, and you can send a copy to the hospital and the ambulance company. Be sure to keep copies of your correspondence.
You can also ask your county Bar for a referral to a local attorney who handles consumer matters. Hope this helps. Elizabeth Powell
