If the credit card company has a judgment, it could levy on your bank account to which your social security check is deposited. Since the social security funds are exempt, you would have to notify the creditor and probably seek court assistance to avoid that levy. It cannot instruct the Social Security Administration to turn the check over to the credit card company, however.
