Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in California

credit card used by friend

I gave a friend 3 business cards and he ran almost $50K on the cards and

paying only minimum payment and

one card was cancelled for bounced

checks he wrote.I think he used me?

I have 2 kids and a wife.

Can I sue him?

I am in Los Angeles and thank you.

You could, but are you likely to get any money out of him? You might spend good money on a lawyer with nothing to show for it but a judgment on paper. The judgment would be good for ten years, though, and may be renewed for another ten.
