Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in California

Credit Card Lawsuit

Being sued for credit card debt. Responded to the summons/complaint. Today I received plantiff's first set of request for admission. I'm not sure how to respond. Is there a form that I can used or can I just type up something? Do I need to file my reponse wiht the court and proof of service too? What happens if I don't respond? Can they get default judgement?

Creditor didn't properly validate the debt. I am looking for an affordable attorney asap to help me handle this matter. I reside in Orange County, CA.

Re: Credit Card Lawsuit

You have 30 days to respond. You will serve your original verified response by mail on opposing counsel. If you do not respond, they will all be deemed admitted and you'll lose your case because of it. I've had reasonable success in these kinds of suits if they are not by the original creditors. Feel free to send me an e-mail over the weekend or contact me during the week.
