Credit card co. put a lien on personal real property

Can credit card companies put a lien on personal real property(house)?

these credit cards were unsecured. I am thinking about selling my house and want to know if these past due amounts are going to have to be paid,i would like to pay them off, but at a lower interest rate.

The only way they can put a lien against real proerty is if they have filed a lawsuit and received a judgment against you.
