Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in California
can the credit card summons be served by leaving them on the doorstep? is it a legal way to serve? should i consider myself served?

Very often we will see improper service such as you discribe. It is sometimes described as sewer service. However, the Plaintiff will file a proof of service that claims you were served. The Plaintiff knows that it wil cost you more than it is sometimes worth to fight service. Plus, if you fight, they can always re-serve you at a later time.
