There is no law that would prohibit an 18-year-old from obtaining a credit card.

You can legally get credit cards at age 18. But they are as dangerous as heroin. Well, maybe not quite as dangerous. But high interest rates, late fees, and overlimit fees can send your bills through the roof. Lose your job and you won't be able to pay, fouling your credit rating for 7 years. Yes an 18 year old cannot be 21 years old. Yes an 18 year old can sign up for a credit card. Yes, an 18 year old can get a credit card.
