credit

if we excepted a settlement offer from a credit collector and paid the agreed amount,i have settlement letters and copies of bank drafts made for the amounts can they now say the amounts were not enough and want more money,they have said they will take me to court if i dont pay more

If you have all of the documents that confirm the settlement amount and your payment, you should be fine. You should send them a cease and desist letter. You can find a sample at my blog, www.californidebtblog.com

No, and they may be in violation of the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act for which they may owe you civil penalties.
