Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in California
''credit protection and denial of payment''
My wife and I had Credit Protection with the same credit card company Washington. Unfortunately we have both have a bad year, I am totally disabled and my ONLY income is Social Security. My wife was recently diagnosed with MS and is also disabled. Washinton Mutual are giving us every excuse under the sun NOT to pay our Credit Protections we had. We took this in case of the above. Washington Mutual said I cancelled my credit protection in October 2003 which is FALSE, I NEVER received the letter they claim to have sent back in 2003. My wife received a letter yesterday stating that she requested closure of her account, which is TRUE, however it states VERY clearly that her credit protection would remain in force from the date of the letter which was July 12, 2006, but upon speaking to them today they still refuse to pay her account. What rights if any do we have? We both feel we are the victims of Fraud & Deceit, and are the victims of Intentional Infliction Of Emotional Distress. I have ALL names & Employee Id's of those spoken to, can anyone help with the above?

Stop speaking to people. All contact should be certified mail return receipt requested. Assuming you have good documentation you may have a good lawsuit. If you are in So Cal I would enjoy speaking with you.
