Can a creditor garnish my wages if I do not pay on unsecured personal loan?

Eventually, it's possible. First the creditor would have to sue you, and then win a judgment. Once the judgment is in hand, the creditor could record it with the county recorder. That automatically puts a lien on your real property, if any. Then, the creditor could instruct the sheriff to levy your wages, your bank account(s), etc.
