can a bill collector come to your home?

They may come to your home, but they may not harass you. Of course, just knocking on your door, to many people, is harassment and some juries agree as well. Courts do not look kindly upon debt collectors who harass people by showing up on their doorstep and demanding payment.

Debt collectors cannot harrass you. If so, they are liable and can be sued under the Fair Debt Collection Act. I need to know more about the contact in order to assist you further.
