Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in California

Debt Collection Harassment

I defaulted on over 12 credit card debts, and one bank line of credit, in 7/1998. Almost all debt were sold to collection agencies. I was never sued, and I believe the CA statute of limitations for collection expired in 7/2002.

Two or 3 of the debts continue to be resold to new collectors, and I feel I am being harrassed since there is no basis for collection.

How do I get them to stop calling me and stop reselling the debt? Every month someone different calls me.

Can I sue them for harrassment?

How can I clean up my credit since some debts are still listed as being in collection, which is inaccurate?
