Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in California

Re: debt collection

I have a debt to pay for a credit card

and the company has given me a

summons. I got a loan company to

give me the money plus extra but I

need my husband to sign off that he

is not responsible for the loan but he

refused to do it. He says his credit

will be ruined even though the loan

will be in my name. I think he is

just being spiteful because he wants

to sell the house and get a divorce.

What can I do to get this loan

through as I am running out of time

or what are my other options.

Re: Re: debt collection

You can either get him to sign off on it or find a new loan. If he wants a divorce, have him consult with a divorce attorney and he will find out that he will not be responsible for the debt if he signs the paper on the loan saying he is not responsible.
