Debt inheritance

If my father owes a lot of money to creditors (including a

hospital for past services), am I responsible for his

debt as his adult child.

No, but his estate is (if he owned anything).

No, unless you are a co-signer. Also, his creditors will be first in line to collect any money available, ahead of you, when your father passes away.
