Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in California

Help with old debt judgement

I have a judgement against me from 2006 in PA. It has been transfered to CA where I live, own a home and own a business. The original debt is 18 years old. What can they do to collect, and what do I need to do to remedy this? Can I offer to pay $20/month to satisfy the debt without any further action?

Re: Help with old debt judgement

If the original judgment is valid, it will be valid in CA, usually. You can contact them and offer to make payments, but if they know you have assets, they will be less likely to take $20 per month. You may need to take out a loan to pay this off.
