debt surviving spouse

I need to know if I'm responsible for my deceased wife's credit card debt and any other bills that are under her name only.

You are generally not, with a few exceptions. Your deceased wife's estate, however, is responsible to pay off all creditors if assets are available to do so. There is a complicated legal discussion you need to have with an attorney who practices in the field of probate. I'm sorry not to be able to give you a definitive answer, however, there are a lot of issues you need to discuss with an attorney before reaching any conclusions.
