Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in California

I am in default on a credit card with Bank Of America and they are contacting my contacts on Facebook stating that they are trying to get in touch with me. I have not listed any of these people as references on any credit application. Is this legal? What if they are also on the "Do Not Call Registry?"

This is only "legal" if they can not otherwise locate you or they have not been in touch with you. Even then, their ability to inquire about your whereabouts is very limited and this sounds to me like harassment. Do a quick search on the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act for more info and defend yourself aggressively!
