Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in California

i got divorced in july 2009 my wife left me with 45,000 in credit cards i havent paid any on them now i just got a summons to be in court to show documents on whats been paid and so on what will happen or what is she trying to do ????????

It's not necessarily your ex- who is doing this. A creditor might have obtained a judgment against her (or you), and they want to find out more about your finances for purposes of collection. To collect, they might try to levy wages, bank accounts, vehicles, etc.
