Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in California
my ex-husband and I started a business with the help of signing a personal guarantee on a business line of credit. We have been divorced for 19 years and I let my ex have all the business. Now he is filing for bankruptcy and the bank is stating that I am liable for the credit debt. Is this possible?

Sure is. It was a BIG mistake not to require him in the divorce judgment to close that account. You need a family law attorney with bankruptcy knowledge as well, to see if there is any way to get relief that will survive his bankruptcy.
