Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in California

Need expert advice

I'm currently in a debt settlement program (since March of 06)I have been served with legal papers to pay 2 out of my 6 credit cards with the program and wondering if I made a mistake joining them. And legally would I be able to cancel my agreement with them. This is the worst my credit has ever been and I need to get a hold of it and turn it around. Thank you in advance for your time.

The laws in this area are fairly clear...if a debt settlement program makes your overall situation "worse" in the longrun, than when you started with the company, they can be directly liable to you for damages. If you would like prompt, affordable legal assistance in reviewing the agreement you signed with the debt settlement company and assistance thereafter, contact us directly for a free phone consultation.
