Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in California

I feel that I was targeted by credit card companies for being young and naive. I was given alot of credit cards with high credit limits at a young age and I had no idea how credit cards worked or the repercussions they would cause me. Now im older and nearly buried in debt, living check to check and barely getting by. Is there a way I can sue them and get this debt eliminated?

Don't forget to also sue your Mom and Dad and your local school district.

Don't you think that if you buy things you have to pay for them? Are you suing them because you are just too stupid to handle your finances?

If you're over your head, you might want to speak with an attorney about bankruptcy. Even if you don't qualify for a Chapter 7 debt liquidation, you might qualify for a Chapter 13 to pay back only a portion of your debt over a period of time. My colleagues' comments about suing your mother and father and about your intelligence do injustice to your serious problems that require a serious answer.

As of now, there are no legal remedies for your predicament. You should speak directly with the credit card companies to work out a payment plan, hire someone or some entity to do it, or - as stated above - consider filing some form of Bankruptcy to get out from under the debt. You are not alone in this and there are many options, but BE CAREFUL if you hire a company or private business to help with this as they may not all be on the level. Good luck.
