Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in California

i filed for bankruptcy and got discharged from all my loans. One of which was a lawsuit brought against me and my partner for violation fines and assesments by the HOA. The collection attorney for the HOA send me court papers to attend the continuance court session and the mandatory settlements conference after he acknowledged receiving the discharge from the BK court. Now I was forced to settle the case by agreeing to pay with my partner the settlement amount we all agreed on. I feel coerced and forced to sign as they required my signature on the settlement. Did this collection attorny for the HOA violate Federal law by sending me the lawsuit and required me to attend and sign the settlement to pay?

I would need to know more information, but, yes, it does seem the HOA attorney committed a discharge violation.

Certainly sounds like a major discharge violation.
