WHere can I get a form to respond to a summons on a civil (credit card co) case? I believe you have 30 days from the day it was delivered to respond.

Forms to respond can be found under the "Forms" tab at http://courtinfo.ca.gov I agree, however, that it is not a good idea to attempt to defend without consulting an attorney.
